EDUC 760: ELearning for Educators
I wrote this course in 2005 as the first course in the UW-Stout E-Learning and Online Teaching Program. In 2001, Kay Lehmann and I had concieved a program that provided quality online training in the art of teaching online and also provided a mentored practicum.
I presented the idea to Joan Vandervelde who worked the UW-Stout School of Education to get the academic backing needed to creat a new certificate program.
I wrote the first course. I asked Kay to write what is now our 4th course: Creating collaborative communities.
I recruited Datta Khaur Khalsa to write E-Learning Assessment and Susan Manning to Write E-Learning Instructional Design.
I also wrote the Practicum class which I also teach.
Over the past 8 years The E-Learning and Online Teaching Graduate Certificate program has grown and prospered. We’ve added terrific new staff to maintain our small class sizes. Despite a tough economy we continue to grow. Curious? Join us find your way to a new future.
